How to organise a Fashion Shoot – Miten suunnitellaan muotikuvaus?

Last Monday I did two studio shoots with UCA fashion students, and later in the week I did one textile shoot and another fashion shoot. Before these photo shoots I gathered information about how to plan a fashion shoot. The most important thing for me was a discussion with the designer, in which we talked about the style of the fashion shoot, make-up and lighting. After that we collected images for a mood board. (How to create a mood board) Also making a call sheet was important, because then everyone should know what is happening and when. Nevertheless all this planning the atmosphere was at times a bit chaotic, but in the end I was quite happy with the results we got.

Viime maanantain studiokuvauksissa kuvasin kaksi asua, myöhemmin samalla viikolla kuvasin vielä yhden setin tekstiilejä ja yhden asukokonaisuuden. Ennen tätä keräsin tietoa siitä, miten muotikuvaus suunnitellaan. Tärkeimmäksi koin sen, että keskustelimme yhdessä suunnittelijan kanssa kuvauksen tyylistä, meikistä ja valaistuksesta. Myöhemmin keräsimme netistä kuvia moodboardiin. (How to create a mood board) Myös kuvauksen yksityiskohtien listaus call sheetiin on hyödyllistä, koska silloin kaikki tietävät, missä mennään. Kaikesta suunnittelusta huolimatta tunnelma oli välillä kaoottinen, mutta olin ihan tyytyväinen kuvauksen lopputuloksiin.
